Nvaazion was founded in 1997 by Kent Grey-Hesselbein as part of another company, Tortured Souls Studios. The purpose of Nvaazion was to be the parent company for two record labels and an art and graphic design company. As the company evolved the company began to focus more on the particular needs of the emerging independent music industry. In addition to all this, a need was seen to reach out to the fringe societies. As a result Nvaazion formed the Nvaazion Underground as a subbordinate branch of the company.
In 2007, founder Kent Grey joined with Michael Dodson Jr. of SelfMade Entertainment and formed an entertainment company based around the concept that as indie artists we are all responsible for our own destiny. As a result SelfMade Records (a hip hop label) and eleven29 Records (a rock and metal label) were formed. The new venture also included Mic D Productions, e29 Publishing and the NUCU (Nvaazion Underground Connection Union).
In late 2008, Mic D and Nvaazion parted ways to pursue individual goals and interests. In March 2009, management of Nvaazion was handed over to the CTM Entertainment Group and Nvaazion/CTM Entertainment was formed. As the new venture evolved, Nvaazion became it's own division along with Onion Knight Productions, with CTM maintaining management of eleven29 Records, 99:1 Media Group.
Nvaazion continues its mission of helping and assisting indie artists obtain their goals. Nvaazion offers many resources to assist artist including image consulting, professional graphic design, prodcer and rep services and so much more. Visit our Resources area for more.
